A live theatre event at Elsecar Heritage Centre!

After half a century in silence, hidden away in an asylum, Edgar Bower just wants to return to his beloved home in Wentworth village. Hope is lost until Social worker Lily Fletcher resolves to solve the mysteries of Edgar’s past.

Edgar is a play about secrets and shame, poverty and prejudice - but most of all it is a play about the sustaining power of love.

Please meet by the Visitor Centre, ten minutes before the performance start time. During the performance you will walk around the location to different areas. There is wheelchair access and some seating for people at different points of the performance.

Please let us know of any specific access requirements when booking.

Suitable for ages 10+   |   Each performance lasts approximately 30 mins.

Family arts and craft activity on site 10.30 - 3.30pm.
